Enrol at Firefly Ed — Private Classes for Children Ages 3–14

Get In Touch

Firefly Ed is a safe, warm space where children feel comfortable, welcome, and genuinely happy to be. Learning here, — children are encouraged to explore what they’re curious about, build confidence, and grow with the learning process.

What’s Available

Firefly Ed is accepting new enrolments. Since we teach in small groups, the openings are limited.

Classes are available for children ages 3–14, with flexible formats to suit your family’s needs.

  • Early Learning (Ages 3–6) — Phonetics, early reading, writing readiness, number sense, and classroom habits
  • Primary & Middle School (Ages 7–14) — Curriculum-aligned academic support, concept reinforcement, test preparation, reading and writing development
  • Online Classes — Same curriculum and materials as in-person sessions, available as a supplement or standalone option
  • Workshops — Art, theatre, speech, and confidence-building sessions offered periodically for ages 3–14 (theatre open to ages up to 18)

Classes are conducted in small groups or one-on-one, depending on the child’s needs. All learning materials are created in-house.

About the Founder / Educator

Prerna Franklin

I started Firefly Ed after fifteen years of teaching children across a wide range of ages, subjects, and learning needs. The practice grew out of a simple observation:

Most children who struggle are not struggling because they lack ability. They are struggling because something in the way they are being taught is not reaching them.

My approach is discussion-led and attentive to how individual children think — built from years of observing what works in a classroom, and what doesn’t.

A lot of what Firefly Ed does is a direct response to teaching methods I observed fail the children, who were perfectly capable of learning.
